It's a debated topic that has many factors. If you undervolt your card and ensure temps are reasonable there shouldn't be major wear and tear, especially if you aren't mining 24/7. But sure any long term use will put wear on it, however if a new 30xx card fails within 3 years the warranty will cover it. Mining is not outside of the intended usage of a gpu, so responsible usage shouldn't be a major issue.
